We all have secrets. Stories that we will always remember but will never tell.

Why do we keep them?

Why won’t we tell?

What are we afraid of?

We think…

“Secrets save us from judgment. Our lies can protect us from the consequences of our actions.”

There are some stories we tell over, and over, and over.
Those are the ones that make us look good.

We all have a side that we don’t want people to see.

Jealousy. Anger. Guilt. Shame. Weakness. Sadness. Stupidity. Ugliness.  Cruelty. Fear.

Et cetera.

Every person you see fights an internal battle, just as you do.

We have different struggles.

But we are all silent warriors.

Why do we do it alone?

We Judge.

That one is different than me. That one is better than me. That one is worse than me.

That one is weird.

I hate that one.

I love that one.

That one is okay.

I Love, Accept, And Respect All Life…               

sounds impossible…

sounds vulnerable…

sounds naively hopeful.

Still.

I Love, Accept, And Respect All Life…  sounds easier than Infinite War.

External and Internal.

Is Peace worth the cost of the effort required to achieve it?

“I will Love, Accept, and Respect you, even with all of your flaws.”

You cannot say that to another person until you can say it to yourself.

Our secrets only mask our flaws.

We accept the self we allow the world to see.

We struggle to pretend that our shadows don’t exist.

Yet we cannot escape them.

We project what we reject.

In every way we refuse to Love ourselves we choose to Hate the world.

Racism. Sexism. Genderism. Religious Extremism. Political Extremism.

Et Cetera.

Still.

I will Love, Accept, and Respect myself, even with all of my flaws.

I will Love, Accept, and Respect you, even with all of your flaws.

Together, We Love, Accept, And Respect All Life.

So Be It.
